USS Pawnee is best known for assisting the Light Cruiser Houston after the Houston was torpedoed off Formosa late in the war. Theodore C. Mason’s book “We Will Stand By You”, about his time aboard Pawnee and her participation in the struggle to save the Houston, makes interesting reading.
This 1/700 scale model portrays the Pawnee in her wartime configuration. The model is 3.5” long.
